On Monday, November 3, Kimberly and Ameena presented a paper on the topic of “Where There’s (Not) A Will: Intestacies, Partial Intestacies and Remedies” at the 17th Annual Estates and Trusts Summit at the Law Society of Upper Canada. The paper, drafted with the generous assistance of the Honourable Mr. Maurice Cullity, former justice at the Superior Court of Justice, addressed recent developments in case law on the topic of intestacies and partial intestacies and the manner in which courts attempt to find practical and legal remedies to address these gaps in drafting and planning.
